Backwash or clean the filter before adding this product. Adjust the pH, if necessary, between 7.2-7.6

For newly filled pools add 3 pounds per 10,000 gallons of water by pouring this product slowly through the skimmer while water is circulating. This dosage provides approximately 35 ppm. of cyanuric acid. Maintain cyanuric acid in the range of 35-100 ppm.
